Artist Information

Many of Frank Finn’s paintings explore the rhythmic tensions and restless nature of land and sea. They provide a sense of time and place, rather than a literal reflection. There is an analysis of the basic dynamics within the picture frame, such as form, shape and space. At times, this leads to abstract works.

Frank Finn was a student at Exeter College of Art and the Royal College of Art. He has taught in schools in Cornwall and the Midlands, Weymouth College of Education and Bournemouth University, where he was Head of the School of Media Arts and Communication.
